The Culinary Academy of New York can help students start their exciting and rewarding career in the culinary arts in nine months or less! The Academy boasts small class sizes for individualized attention, expert instructors, and modern kitchens with the latest in equipment. Students also complete an internship to gain more hands-on experience and see what the field is really like!
Programs:
Location: Formerly known as the New York Food & Hotel Management School, the Culinary Academy of New York was so renamed after being acquired in 2005 by the Culinary Academy of Long Island. The school has been a leader in culinary education since 1935.
Financial Aid: The Culinary Academy accepts Title IV Federal Student Financial Assistance Programs. It is also approved by the state to train Veterans, and accepts referrals under JTPA and VESID.
Career Services and Other Highlights: The school is partnered with several dozen restaurants and hotels in the area where students can complete their internships, including several hotels, Trump Grill, The Cotton Club, and the American Stock Exchange Dining Room. The Academy also offers career placement assistance to help students get the job they want after graduation.
The Culinary Academy is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Career School and Colleges of Technology and licensed by the New York State Education Department.
This institution has received approval to operate from the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education, in order to enable the Bureau to conduct a qualitative review and assessment of the institution after it becomes operational.
